When I first get to look at my school timetable for the semester, WISP caught my attention. I was wondering what it is all about. Initially, I have heard from my schoolmates about the module, which was said to be a History lesson. As History was not my interest, I got very worried even before I got into contact with the module personally. School eventually commences, and the journey on WISP begins.

First Lesson:
When I first enter the class room, I was mentally prepared for some History lesson. However, Mr Don asked us what our first impression on the module is. Trying to make the situation more fun, I tried to be honest by saying that my first impression was History. Mr Don was rather positive about the feedback and he answered in a rather humorous way which made the class burst into laughter. It somehow changes my perspective on the module itself and began to show more interest on the module.

Second Lesson:
Prejudice & Discriminations:
Our second lesson was the session of ‘Dialogue in the Dark’(DiD), which I heard from my friends even before going for the session. It was a place located in our school which was operated by a few visually impaired adults as the guides for the journey in the premises. The place was in pitch dark and we were supposed to tour the area with the guide of the guides. This was the most memorable experience I got from WISP. It really made me learn a lot and benefitted from the experiences. From the journey in ‘DiD’, I felt that the guides were impressive and they deserve every single respect from us students. They were able to move around in the area smoothly while we students were facing a lot of difficulties in the area. This gave me the feeling that nobody is useless or should feel disheartened when they face obstacles in life. Everyone is born for a reason, and definitely every single individual will possess something that is different from the rest. Obstacles are things everyone will face in life and most people will give up when they face such knockbacks, but if they are able to experience the ‘DiD’, it will change their thoughts. Guides from ‘DiD’ faced the obstacles of unable to see their surroundings which may lead to the difficulty to move around and they even face discriminations from some people in the society. However, none of them gave up in their life and this made me salute them and respect their attitudes. That session at ‘DiD’ taught me to be determined and do not give up so easily which is a great help. As a student, we will face all sorts of obstacles, one good example is stress, ever since the session I felt more motivated than before. From the experience, one very important lesson was that the world should not have any discrimination on people who are different or less fortunate. Without discrimination, the world will be better in every form. The ‘DiD’ guide – Calvin said “When the lights are off, everyone is equal. Nobody is better than the rest.” That is the most encouraging sentence I heard and I agreed to it.

Third Lesson:
Conflicts around the world
The third lesson that I found interesting during the course of WISP is the session that we did the war games. It gave me the idea that how the world works and how countries work towards the ability to remain safe against the threats by other countries. It is very important to remain harmonious with the countries in the world so that no conflicts will affect any country or even disrupt lives of humans. From the war games, it showed us the ‘magic’ of alliance. With alliance, it somehow creates a shield around a particular country. We understood the logic that lies within the relationship among countries. With a stronger alliance, no other country will threaten or attack the country. The game gave us the idea of the impact of conflicts and how it will affect the lives of any people. However, from the topic itself, we understand that there is a need to avoid conflicts with others which will benefit both countries. This taught me the need to avoid conflicts with people around us which will make our lives even better.

Last lesson:
Looking things as a whole
Discrimination, conflicts or even world issues was caused by a factor. If we are able to handle the factor well, we may prevent the negative issues from happening. Discrimination is the way a person perceived the others, if we are able to change the mindset in everyone, discrimination will be reduced.

Thoughts on WISP
WISP is a fun and interesting module and I benefitted a lot from it. Personally, I feel that there should be more activities for WISP, activities will make the modules more interesting.

X'mas is coming in a few days, this also means that another year is ending. YAY! 19years old next year. I want to make it a meaningful year. I missed it for 18years le.

Haha, working 5 days for this week even on x'mas eve and x'mas. Therefore for those who got pass by my blog, Happy X'mas Day! Been asked to go over to orchard hotel to work as part time captain, should i? should i not? tough decision.

Just finished work. kinda tired. even though the job was kind of slack.

Haha the manager praised me for having a pleasant look. Nice.

People in fine dining are treating me with what humans should have as a respect to the others.

Next week occupied for 4 days. x'mas eve and x'mas will be working too. Have no intention to celebrate it. Haha maybe the x'mas wish is to get someone who really understand me for the coming year? :)

Today worked at Fine dining, a job given by 2 2x years old HR ladies.

They dam imba la, see my eyelashes oso high? =.= anw the job was less tiring, but tired also nvm la.hahaha. First they keep high bout my eyelashes, then say i look like their friend. They even asked me go for staff chalet. nah no thanks, im anti social. haha.

Working as promoter for road show the past 2 days straight after common test, tmr working waiter. People says im kinda crazy, workaholic. But when you see me working so fierce, means i am trying to use the chance of working to indulge myself in my own world, getting away from something that i hope i can forget.

Hais, sick for at least 5 days le due to my working environment . Attachment, suppose to be fun; interesting , but this is the 2nd time i'm sick in the 4th week of attachment. haish.

Today received a call from the liason officer, and she feedback that someone[i dont know whether is the supervisor or anyone] say i'm not having a good attitude in the attachment, as in do you think i wan to get sick? or i will wish to pay money to the doctor to skip the attachment? =.= its an insult to me siah.

Bought almond oreo from the bubble tea stall in our school library. I dunno why, the almond oreo in school is just incomparable to other stalls. Its a type that i dunno how describe yea :X

Went to class, did the presentation. Not bad some peeps laugh due to the jokes that i did in my video. Lesson ended, went down to king albert park to eat Mcdonald :D Hehes. One guy jumped queue and went in frnt of me, shant gei gao with him :X

Went cityvibes with llewyn ho. slack awhile then went took bus home. Met jingmin as she also board the bus. Talk alot of nonsense on the bus :X

Went to work at Raffles Town Club after mia-ing from it for 2months plus. Was scheduled from 7am to 11.30pm. Got scammed as I was told I may leave at 7pm, in the end its 11.30pm. Disappointed. D: Do service buffet lunch for an graduation event... slack for the event. Event end, and was asked to set for the night’s wedding dinner. 42 tables of Chinese tables. Fix-ing [Lazy Susan] for 3hrs, nearly piss me off. Finally event commenced... 3 tables with an experienced aunty, although leg was super pain but was glad. She serve super fast =,=. Was asked to ask for feedback from tables. Got 3 sisters compliment me seh. In the front page of the feedback booklet they wrote, [HISNAMEISGABRIEL]. Haha :D... then when they asked my name I was shocked cause I thought was a complaint, then the 2nd sister ask the oldest sis not to scare tio me Hehe. Today earned 112$ after event.

Gabriel is seriously sick to the extreme, fever 39.5degrees and even need to go for injection.He even have cough,throat infection. Yesterday went to work,12pm at Raffles Town Club. Dunno why suddenly head super pain... Pain till cannot work properly. Did setup till 5pm then prepare for the night event to commence. Its some sort of charity ball by some club with a super uber big dance floor in our middle ballroom. Haha. After assigning the task, i was asked to do the backlane at first, give the order to ppl to pick up dishes with chiew lian. Actually was damn happy as it was the relax job i always wanted. Haha, but this joy did not last long lah, not even 30mins, an extra table was setted up, bo bian i need go join the crew to waiter. 3 to 5, i did the runner style.i picked up,serve 1 table and clear. maybe if ppl who dunno, thinks runner is easy, but need arm power. somemore 5 tables of plates,bowls,platters,cutlery.PORCELAIN de hor, although 4 tables was oreadi the max, but 5 tables was oso quite light to me. Hao lian siol, bo bian seh :X

Early morning slacked at home, then the sky started to drizzle, tot that it will stop eventually so went to style hair for basketball with shawn and see yui.

Wah the best thing came when me and seeyui reached shawn house bus stop. IT STARTED TO RAIN HEAVILY!!! kns, then shawn came down to send umbrella for us, i dont think he deserve any thanks from me...=,= cause its expected JK! we went to eat meepok at the hawker... then we decided to go his house first to wait for the rain to stop, it just keep raining for 1hour or so but slowly become drizzle. I told them dun care le then we went to the basketball court. See Yui was still the same, able to pwn him :B. But shawn, very hard la. although i tried to pull the score near to 6-7. Lose 1 point not tt jialat. :B

Life is getting boring without school or even work =,=.Woke up early in the morning like 9am and watched doraemon [OMG]... Hahah childhood programs marh... watch till 12pm bored like siao. need more people to entertain me... lawls, then 3pm prepared bathe,style hair cause need go celebrate dad's birthday a suntec steamboat buffet.

Reached there at 5pm, havent start yet, so sister say she want buy hard disk at the fair. The fair was like so many people hor. like as if the items are free? people squeezing here and there,even up the escalator.got one aunty keep push me even though i cant head forward. i nearly flare up at the fair and scold people. i was forced to bang those guys who purposely walk towards me. not my fault dey. finally sis bought her hard disk and we were spared from the tortue. it was so squeezy tt there was a lack of fresh air... =x

Went to the steamboat...woots tot it will be nice, but disappointed. like that i also can cook. smmore each person 25.80 hor . not worth it though. but i love the dessert.especially the green tea cake and tapioca with coconut milk :B yumyum... saw so many greedy people. taking loads of food before considering their ability to finish the food. one guy took a whole lump of beef. might as well eat a whole COW?! Hehe that's the whole day i had.

Woke up early as usual, dota with llewyn and shawn till 2pm then we head to shawn's house the area there to play basketball. LoL! too long nvr play basketball abit rusty keep miss shots at the start and leg cramp came to me. But slowly as time passes, i took up the momentum and got in some shots. Im quite good in free throw line shot i guess :B
Play basketball for 5hrs, the whole body totally no energy le, i went home limping HAHA

Thursday:
Went to dad's minimart to help out for the morning crowd :B
Then head off to lot 1 to watch dragonball evolution with shawn. He quite sad arh about his broke up. Cheer luh. Dragonball is a nice movie. KAMEKAMEHAHA!!! Rofl :) Damn cute seh the animation =,=. Enjoyed the movie ~_~

Yesterday was my return to Raffles Town Club after 3 months of rest from work due to exam. Reached RTC at 11.30am, had lunch before starting work. Haha the uniform aunty asked me how come i looked slimmer again. Hehes good marh, slimmed down from XL shirt to L shirt LOL! Work was like !#$%^%#@!, cos there was like 52 tables that day and was asked to do side stations. It was torturing kay, 16 side stations- 48 soft drinks jugs, 16 ice water jugs, 16 chinese tea jugs, 16 hot water flask, 250 fork, 250 spoons ALL MUST POLISH!!! Do until want die.

At night, i was actually going to serve 4 tables with 2 other partners, but i dunno why i NOSE BLED again. Hais i was told not to serve and switch task with another guy. Did backlane. Small mistakes me and wilson were scolded as if we were slaves?! I got a thinking in my mind for very long, imma study real hard till one day i get the chance to host events at this club and we shall see lor. ^^ LoL! Although its quite evil, but im forced to it. Tried my best to work for them, they treat me for granted.

Yesterday was super sick, till my throat hurts like !@#$%^&... Went to see the 3rd doctor of the month :C... Then went breakfast with mom and sister, hohoho and came home slack till 3pm. After slacking at home for awhile, i cant take it anymore,i left house to go find llewyn which later head for aniplay... Watched them play dota, you know i dont usually play in lan shop... Haha dunno why... Hehe... [8pm]Accompany llewyn and junyang these 2 guys to wait for them to eat their dinner when my mom cooked my share at home and i still need to wait for them. Its wednesday and i no need go school.WOOTS!
Called shawn and he asked me go his house then go find llewyn they all.
Llewyn at first say he will die die go school if not he will get barred from the module,but what bulbul did was jus a few words, and this made llewyn change his mind to head for clementi instead. Me and shawn bus-ed down to clementi to find llewyn,bulbul and damian... Head down to the new clementi town campus[ex school]... I went there to take my testimonial and we chat with some teachers. One of the teacher said i changed alot and cant recognise me as gabriel.=,=

Left the school at 1.40pm and went to peitong primary the side there de street soccer court, the weather so hot lor, but still i played [so long never play le] abit rusty. Hoho...Had such fun with the guys siol... Its so different with poly life.Hais...After soccer-ing for awhile,they suggested something else.

They suggested Aniplay[Lan shop], so as usual we went there. Saw them challenge other people,not bad they improved on their teamwork, the engaging of the battle was nice in all matches. They played with a best team and miracle happened! They won?!

After Aniplay-ing, they still suggested to go socccer, and i followed as well.Haha was a short one cause all of us were tired. After soccer-ing,llewyn say he hungry so we accompany him to MR Prata...Haha then after llewyn dinnered, we accompany shawn and llewyn to their taxi.Rofl, i saw a white car from far and i told shawn it was a mercedes taxi, he waved to it. To our surprise as it drove nearer, it was a POLICE CAR?!Waaaaa. Rofl, then we all went home :B

CNY[Eve/COW yr]:

Went to granny house on chinese new year eve.Met all the cousins,uncles and aunties. WOOO~ most of the aunties say i slimmed down and say i look better. :x Some female cousins oso got say so that was quite a happy thing to know. Its a fact that i slimmed down,looking back at some photos of the past was like HAR?! thats me arh!!!

Ate steamboat reunion dinner with the family and was quite a feast... Ate till super de full lor...Then there was this lao yu sheng thingy,so many hands with chopsticks attacked the yu sheng and it was quite noisy... The above pictures will taken by some cousins.Rofl. Head home after the dinner

At night, received the ang bao from mother, and i decided to proceed with the tradition of shou shui... But heng i was occupied with dota activity with llewyn, shawn and edwin. Edwin was in the opponent team and me,lle and shawn thrashed his team.... Quite happy.Slept at 2am :x

[CNY day]:

This is what i wear for the first day of CNY, headed for granny house at 10am.... Greet all the relatives and received many angbaos... some cousins say this shirt is nice :B. After eating vegetarian breakfast as tradition always do, the whole family headed out to another relative house at jurong. We stayed there awhile and proceed on to my big uncle{da jiu} hse.

At his house, many people played poker cards- blackjack,this year i lost interest in it and so many of thm ask me to join in but i said i quit gambling :B. Lunch was Spaghetti with bacon and cheese cooked by my uncle. Wow it was quite nice, got the standard of a restaurant. I ate a plate and was quite full. Then he told us he still ordered pizzas[ around 6 to 8 big de] and 2 boxes of the wings. Omg it came and i ate till i nearly was bloated. Hoho super full. then hor i walk here walk there, suddenly sit on the sofa, fell asleep, heng hair not messy. :x

Around 6pm all of us went home....

Well, woke up early this morning...
Mom suggested me to go visit the dental.Well me and her went downstairs.Take the queue number,but seems like alot ppl are having toothache arh, we need wait at least 2hrs to get to our turn. So i suggest to drop the plan. :X took some special type of antibiotic and followed mom to go shop for flowers?guess is for some praying de barh.She choose quite long arh,1hr then finish considering the flowers.Then head home.

Returned home,helped mom vacumned the floor and slack to watch some dota replays of ytd game with damian and llewyn. Damian dc after awhile left wif me, lle and 1 guy in the team. The game was a 3(our team) v 4 game.but we won, lle sf buay pai but with my assist to clear 2 lanes creep about, we managed a mega creep and won. Me annd lle could not believe it though, we tot its gg at first. BUT NO!!! Hehe.

Slacking at home makes silly jokes come to mind. Just tot of one :x

Today was such a boring day...I just realised i received the 2nd warning registration letter from the army, got to do something fast (URGENT!!!)

Early in the morning went to jurong point to buy my chinese new year clothes.Hmm bought a shirt from Freshbox cos i think its quite cool barh.LoL.
Then llewyn appear and we head for sunset way lan shop =,=...obvious right with his presence cfm is go lan shop de.Stayed there for around 1hr + suddenly i received so many missed call from my work senior captain.Called her and she said she need my help cause there is lack of staff? The thing is she actually expect me to reach there in 1hr time when all my working stuffs are at home.Tell her that i try my best to go.

Reached raffles town club at 6pm. Asked to wear the white long sleeve[will upload the pic soon]...I was assigned to 2 tables of VIP tables with quite alot of staffs so its okay.Rofl...This year de guests not that high though. The emcee tried very hard to make them high and dance but hor.the guests just sat there.Hais

Time slowly passed and when it was around 1150pm, we[male waiters] were asked to take all sorts of cooking utensils to prepare making noises around the club at 1200 shart[2009], and so when the guests started to countdown, and it reached 1200, we made all sorts of noises in the ballroom and around the entire club.It was so fun,[better than last year],but all of us were dead tired after running here and there.Lmao.

[2am] All the guests slowly left the ballroom and head home and we were supposed to start clearing the whole places. I start to unlock the dancefloor,piece by piece myself and cleared the stage myself.hais.

All of a sudden there was a 'guest' appearance of a bat in our backlane.holy holy! yanto took the overtray and chase it so that it will not fly into the ballroom,i opened the exit door wide open [i never even thought the bat will hurt me or what], to let it fly out.Lmao.scary siol.the speed of the bad super fast.

[3am]Everyone was dead tired and by then we were signed out and paid to go home.Thanks my parents for waking up and fetching me home.LOL!

Start preparing all the needy things for a buffet... It was quite a slacking event as all the guests did not eat too much.keke. OMG and i got to taste Raffles Town Club Chocolate Eclair~!!!! X'mas eve seems like nothing to me yea~hoho.Slack at home whole day + went to nap for 4hrs straight...Hehe.

Mum returned home with KFC(pok pok gei), hehe eat until my stomach super full, then tried some logcake. Although its quite creamy, but the fruits in the cake was alot leh.bwahahah.

Super bored and went into a game of dota, wapiang nowadays alot noobs online arh.I sacrifice to get a kill they actually wanted to say i stupid but in the end they changed it to nice one.keke.1hr+ more to xmas,hope got ppl wish me arh.

Received quite alot of xmas wishes from kerene,thanks arh.hehe
